I just came across the EXCAMTASK command while reading the Application Manager Product guide (AM34P- Issue 1, Chapter 8 page 57) . Note this publication was obtained back in December 1998 from JBA office in HongKong). Has anybody used it ? For what purpose and how was it implemented ? As we have created bespoke tasks (both interactive and batch) called by bespoke menus , without resorting to this facility , I am wondering what we may have lost by not using this command . The user/task overrides have not been a problem. However, certain bespoke tasks are by default associated to QBatch . example : ============================================================ XA330 Application Manager System: S44CA805 Maintain Tasks ============================================================ Application Task code Action IB 9541 *UPDATE BESPOKE TASK Type changes, and press ENTER Description . . . . . We know its the SBMJOB that is causing association with Qbatch , but how can this be overcome ? Would the use of EXCAMTASK coupled with another 'batch' task (to be defined as JBA task) be the answer ? Any suggestion will be welcome .
