Actually Art, I do believe that the AMDAYEND routine does perform the call to XA705 as well as archiving the APG02PHY - records (See APG02ARC) as well as running the Day End programs specified in each application... You can skip the CL program and run a CALL to XA705 in batch instead of XA705CLP which will only run in interactive mode... The APG02ARC archive can contain many MEMBERS - one for each time you run the AMDAYEND routine... And thus should be a focus of periodic purging... The records stored in these various members are an audit trail for every job that was executed from a JBA task during the period since the last time the AMDAYEND routine was ran... Just an aside... To access those MEMBERS/records from an Application Manager menu you can use the following path: Use the command STRIPGAM (press enter) 5. Operational Inquiries 3. Job History 2. Archived Jobs You will then be presented with a list of available MEMBERS to choose from... You can also delete these MEMBERS from this screen... If you see no members then you are not running the AMDAYEND routine and you should really give some consideration to adding it to your Machine Manager or other night job routine... Good luck... CLNUSRALC does not clear everything that is necessary to free up all objects.
