I have used the site egroups.com to setup private e-mail lists and file sharing. You could always setup another list their with installed users only and take conversations to this list if you are not comfortable speaking your mind not knowing who is listening. All members can view the member list on-line, so you always know who is getting the messages....just an idea. The egroup.com system also lets you upload/download and share file.
