Michelle, If I am understanding you correctly, take a look at the "Planning Type" field value and the "Demand Policy" field for your component items. If these items are sold as replacement parts, this causes them to be MPS items, so, 1 is correct. However if the P.T. is = to 1, (MPS) and the D.P. is = to 0, 2, or 6, this might be the cause. of doubling up the suggestions. A few tests will prove it out. Hope this helps, and have a great day!
