I don't think this is true if the company you are working with isn't set up
in 1/FIU.

My gut feel is that if the company isn't set up in 1/FIU, AFI will ignore
the transactions.

I may be wrong

Charles,

You can run the AFI extract (3/INW) with no journals setup for your live
company.  Just make sure there are some live journals setup for Z1.  Check
this by using 1/FIM.  This will set all the INP96 records in your live
comapny to GLUP96 = 0 and make them eligible for deletion.

So let me get this straight.  Since I do not use AFI and my inp95 and inp96
both have the same number of records (3,000,000+) I should force a 1 or a 0
into GLUP96 in the inp96 file so that the next time my month end runs the
records will be available for purging?
