exec sql set :EncodedString = SYSTOOLS.URLENCODE(:Input,'UTF-8');is taking more time to process? Also, am I missing something in the SQL
exec sql set :DecodedString = SYSTOOLS.URLDECODE(:Input,'UTF-8');
Could you please guide me to understand why the IBMi-provided function
statement which is causing the delay?
To my understanding many systools functions are java based - look at the
joblog after running one of these functions and see if a jvm is started.
The overhead is worst at the first call but java is in general slower
anyway.
