The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Currently, I am doing URL Query String Encode and Decode process using the
SYSTOOLS scalar function
exec sql set :EncodedString = SYSTOOLS.URLENCODE(:Input,'UTF-8');
exec sql set :DecodedString = SYSTOOLS.URLDECODE(:Input,'UTF-8');
When I see the performance metrics for these two SQL statements, it is
taking a minimum of 3 milliseconds to 6 milliseconds to process
each statement.
I tried using Scott Klement's URL Encode function
http_setCCSIDs(1208:0);
EncodedString = http_urlEncode(Input);
Scott Klement's encode function is processing within a millisecond, but we
don't have a decoding function.
Could you please guide me to understand why the IBMi-provided function is
taking more time to process? Also, am I missing something in the SQL
statement which is causing the delay?
Regards,
Suren
