9402-400 @ v3r6 is where I started in 1996...

The AS/400 was new to the company and to me.

The vendor code was supplied originally in RPG III, but it didn't take me
long to find out about RPG IV and to switch to that for anything I wrote.

Thanks, I actually couldn't quite put my finger on it, but yes, that
was definitely a factor.

However, we both didn't read carefully enough, because Patrik did
explicitly mention RPGLE and D-specs in his original post.

For my part, I am also incredibly hazy on the timeline of OS releases
and RPG versions, and genuinely thought it might be that RPG IV wasn't
even available on Patrik's system. (But Wikipedia says RPG IV was
around as early as V3R2!)
