One factor that is often overlooked, in my opinion, is an organization's hard-won tribal knowledge.  Too often that knowledge is locked in the head of one or two key people and one day there will be the Ooopps moment when management realizes their tribal knowledge isn't going to be coming through the door any more.

I bring this up in this thread because ...  well... because it looks like you are forced to be on that glide path.

There is huge benefit from RPGILE. The functionality benefits over RPG/400 way out way the disadvantages
