Thanks.

So instead of DSPLY Error (upon failure of certain conditions) what should
be the ideal logic in Program A/B?

thanks much...

It seems like PGMA may be a poorly written program, and I got the

If it's really impossible to change PGMA, then a very complex way to
handle this problem would be to

- Use SNDPGMMSG to put a marker message in the joblog
- Call PGMA
- Use the QMHLJOBL API to get the messages from the joblog and go back
through the messages until you get to the marker message (no error) or
until you get to the DSPLY (error)

This would only be an option if the situation was "not allowed to change
it" or "don't have the source code to change it". Otherwise, changing
PGMA to issue an escape message would be much easier than changing the
CL to crawl through the joblog.
