Booth,

You don't mention how long your link is, but
https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/strpccmd-pccmd-parameter-limited-123-characters
mentions
support for up to 1023 byte command strings depending on your release level
(and I suspect you are using 7.2 or higher, in which case you already have
this level of support).

An earlier reply also suggested a possible environment variable work
around. https://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l/200404/msg00929.html seems,
with qualifiers, to talk about that type of approach. While i environment
variables are limited to 1024 bytes, google suggests a maximum size of 32K
for other environments with the previous link indicating the environment
variable is tied to the terminal emulator environment and not the i.

Personally I've never tried/used either, I just ran across them with
google... (read as a big disclaimer especially regarding the environment
variable maximum approach :) ).

Some corner of my memory tells me there is a better way...

I want to open a browser page from a 5250 session.. Until now I have
used STRPCCMD PCCMD() and it has worked just fine. This browser link is
fairly long and is being truncated, so the web page is opening but not
at the correct page.
