I had this problem at another site and the fix was simple, but I am unable to look it up. I think there is an environment variable the needs to be defined telling the PC the variable being passed has a new length.

Subject: command string to long for STRPCCMD PCCMD()

Some corner of my memory tells me there is a better way...

I want to open a browser page from a 5250 session.. Until now I have used STRPCCMD PCCMD() and it has worked just fine. This browser link is fairly long and is being truncated, so the web page is opening but not at the correct page.
