Just following this thread, so I may be restating views already offered?

Anyway, css sheets give me the ability to have a basic css that defines all attributes excepting, say, color schemes.  Then I can cascade varying color schemes that can signal various channels. The one I am working on for the moment has blue for DB2, orange for web service, and green for existing & static  .json files.  The big benefit of this is that when I change a margin, for instance, it's changed in one place only.  Another advantage is I can hand off the color schemes to someone else and let them prettify to their hearts content.
