Hi Paul,
Ah, a new day...
Recompiling was not an option as the program had already been dumped. I
did however recompile the program later.
I think you pointed me in the right direction. We have a custom compile
command that we use (at least are supposed to use). The defaults are
DbgView(*Source) and Optimize(*None).
Someone must have compiles the program through option 14 in PDM. The
default for CrtSqlRpgI is DbgView(*None). I'm going to suggestion the
default be changed.
Thanks,
Rob

Can you recompile the program? The program was compiled without observability nor the debugging template. (My terminology may not be correct.)

Subject: RPG dump with no variables
Hi All, it's late and I just can't think of/remember why this happens. I
took a 'D' to dump an RPGLE program and when I looked at the spoolfile in
outq QEZDEBUG the files were there but no variables.
I'm not sure if this has to do with it but *SRCSTMT was not in the h specs
so any reference to a line doesn't relate to the source. Can anyone tell
me why there were no variables in the dump?
Thanks,
Rob
