And recalling the "good old days', the compiler only reported the

spelling error :)

Much like C continues to do. Everything old is new again!

OK, it reports more than one error but the compiler is frequently so
confused by the first error it encounters that any additional errors
can be discounted because many/most of them are furphys.

C'mon, Simon, admit it! You've been chomping at the bit to use that word
ever since you learned it, haven't you?
