The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Despite my attempt to move this to Midrange-L, it appears that the
discussion is going to take place here. (sigh)
Anyway... IBM i Access (formerly Client Access) is not the only
emulator that supports STRPCCMD. Indeed, I'm not sure I know of any that
don't support it. (Well, I guess only the 5250 varieties support it...)
The point is... STRPCCMD doesn't require Client Access. It will
probably require Windows, though. (Although I know of one that works on
Linux, you'd need to use a different command-string, so it probably
wouldn't be compatible.)
Viewing the PDF through a browser would be a _much_ better alternative,
but you wanted green screen, so I don't think you'll accept that option.

It seems all PC's will need Client Access.
