The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
It is giving zero......I double checked the variables and both the date
fields have correct values as does the customer number variable.

Doug, here's an idea: try replacing SELECT SUM(SLEXT$) with SELECT COUNT(*).
See if that works and gives you a value greater than zero. If you get zero,
that's your problem.

Here is EXACTLY what I am typing in strsql:
SELECT SUM(SLEXT$) FROM SLSTRNL5 WHERE SLTDAT >20070722 AND SLTDAT <
=20070801 AND SLSHRT=' ' AND SLCLAS > 1 AND SLACCT = 10103900
Now the order of criteria fields has varied some, but in the end I am
using
the same fields and the same values between both the rpg and the strsql
