OK - Using a *WSCST (workstation customization object) does allow me to move the print over to the far left of the page when changing the source of the *WSCST. Great!!!! However I have to stop the writer and restart it and it also move other prints from the 400 over to the left as well. Does anyone know if there is a way to attach this change only to a spooled file or something like that???
How is this printer attached to your system? If you have a printer with an IPDS feature, you can set up a device description for the SCS device, and the for IPDS/AFP device. On the network attached printers I've used, both of these device descriptions can be active at the same time, and you can send reports to both outqs. The reports will be printed as the printer is available. I haven't used this with heavily used printers, you might have to start/stop print writers to schedule reports in this situation.
