Hi,does it mean, you want to have the difference between 2 times as numeric value in the format HHMMSS, and the difference between two dates as numeric value in the format YYYYMMDD and the difference between 2 timestamps as numeric value in the format YYYYMMDDHHMMSS,MicroSec?
If so just use embedded SQL. Enbedded SQL will calculate time/date and timestamp differences in this way. i.e. the difference between 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM will be returned as 23000 (if you only want 230 just divide throuhg 100)
C/EXEC SQL Set :MyNumDiff = :MyTime1 - :MyTime2 C/End-Exec Mit freunlichen Grüßen / Best regards Birgitta Hauser"Shoot for the moon, even if you miss, you'll land among the stars." (Les Brown)

Alan, Yes.The differents between two time (1:00pm and 2:02pm) would be 1 hour 2 minutes. What I need or would like would be it to be 102. This would allow me to multiply the hourly wage by this figure to get cost.Willie.. -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Alan Shore Sent: Monday, December 04, 2006 11:03 AM To: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Subject: Re: convert time to hundreds Willie - could you please expand on what your definition of "hundreds" is? This is so we can calculate the cost for job costing. I have used the *H, *MN options. Is there one for hundreds? I have done this in RPGIII. But it requires a lot of calculation. If not, can I get an example of a better way to do this.
