RE: Embedded SQL, first steps

Thanks for the tips Andrew.  I should have thought to look at the 
Sorcerer's Guide.

In this case if more than one row is returned there is a logical error in 
the database (one trailer with more than one refrigeration unit or one 
refrigeration unit in more than one trailer), so I think I will monitor 
for this error and alert the calling program appropriately.
