No, their technique is still the pits.  I would have preferred qualified 
data structures.

     D  APIFormat                     8a         API Format name
     D  CmdSuffix                     4a         Command Suffix

And whomever used the same format name(OBJL0100), with a totally different 
layout, for List Objects (QUSLOBJ) and List object locks (QWCLOBJL) should 
be horse dragged through a cactus field.
