Yes, IBM needs to learn how to name fields for RPG IV rather than simply port the RPGIII code to RPG IV and leave it. In fact, the RPGIII code appears to have been generated from the C prototypes (some kind of converting I imagine) which did a pretty basic conversion, sadly. Maybe someday IBM will provide new /COPY's that have good, meaningful names and use Integer data types instead of the stupid "B" fields. -Bob Cozzi
