Subject: Embedded SQL in Free-Format RPG

I have a program with embedded SQL that uses substitution variables.
These variables are defined in the D specs with the LIKE keyword. This
program compiles fine when using fixed-format RPG C-specs. However,
when I convert the program to free-format RPG (using Websphere), the
program will not compile because the substitution variables are
undefined. Any ideas?
