Change the F12 key in DDS to use CAxx instead of CFxx.  This causes the
display to signal the f-key press, but does not return any data to the
program.....

When you F12 to exit the program (turn on *IN12) it will say invalid date / 
time stamp which would be coming from the read of the DSPF.  No they are not

initialized to any particular value.
