I don't know how QCMDEXC might affect it, but IBM functions commonly report this. By calling QUSRJOBI after the function and using format JOBI0600, the Exit and Cancel Keys can be checked by looking at those values at offsets 102 and 103 of that format. F12 usually sets the Cancel Key and F3 sets the Exit Key value. I'm not clear on how that might be of value here. I don't even know if STRSEU sets the status. I suspect it will since both keys are enabled and both otherwise _seem_ to do the same thing. Tom Liotta
