Actually for the *USA format it is 01/01/0001. For *MDY it is 01/01/40 Duane -----Original Message----- From: Booth Martin [mailto:booth@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, October 26, 2005 9:38 AM To: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Subject: RE: Unusual date / time stamp error when EXFMT is run Remember that a date field knows what it is. (It has no format we recognize It is never in *USA for example.) So, when you display it, you choose the format you wish to use. If you are going to use *USA then you'd want to use a value of January 1st, 1940 as your low value. In looking at your original problem, I would have probably just added in a condition on the RPG line saying "If Field <> *blanks " and avoided this whole area of discussion. --------------------------------- Booth Martin http://www.martinvt.com --------------------------------- -------Original Message------- From: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Date: 10/25/05 17:44:22 To: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Subject: RE: Unusual date / time stamp error when EXFMT is run And I thought the date was formatted to *USA?
