Sounds like a case for the need of another set of eyes.
It might prove to be just a syntax error in the if statement.

I kinda figured that, that's why I was concentrating on the first error, but so far I have not been able to determine what the heck the problem is. Everything looks fine.....both are numeric types S 3 digits long with no decimals.....
