The field is defined differently somewhere else in the program. ex. DSPF, external ds, /copy. -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Douglas W. Palme Sent: Friday, March 25, 2005 8:54 AM To: RPG Group Subject: Compiler error I am trying to compile a program and I am still getting two error messages that are driving me nuts. The first one is RNF7406 Data-format entry does not match the definition of the input field DSLSMN. I am attempting to read form a PF called DMPF, it only has two fields defined, the DSLSMN is a type S with a length of 3 with no decimals. In the DDS I have the input field defined as DSLSNO1 as an INPUT field type S and again zero decimals. Any idea what this error message means? -- This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list To post a message email: RPG400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/rpg400-l or email: RPG400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l.
