I've neen told by readers that my eRPG(v2) book, although focused on CGI programming, contains some of the easiest to understand chapters on ILE and Dynamic SQL. I've received hundreds of mails telling me it finally "clicked". :) It doesn't cover free format RPG.. written before it's time. But that's just syntax and fairly easy to pick up. I also have an RPG Skills Accellerator from Rochester Initiative (www.lab400.com) that contains more in depth chapters and examples on the subjects mentioned (minus free). Keep in mind, this is dynamic SQL, static embedded SQL. IMHO the better of the two (although embedded could mean dynamic I guess). http://www.bvstools.com/erpg/ But then again, I may be biased... :) Brad www.bvstools.com On Thu, 26 Aug 2004 14:52:54 -0500 bacollins@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx wrote: > I have limited resoures and would like to know if anyone > has a preference > of book(s) on RPG that thoroughly cover RPG. > > >From Embeded SQL to Procedures to Free RPG to Service > Programs. > > I do not want to start a war so please send this off-list > to me. > > Thanks > > > Bruce 'Hoss' Collins > CTO > VeriQik > 256 Honeysuckle Road > Suite 8 > Dothan, AL 36305 > (334) 836-1100 > 101001110.1101000100.10001001100 > -- > This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries > (RPG400-L) mailing list > To post a message email: RPG400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, > visit: > http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/rpg400-l > or email: RPG400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx > Before posting, please take a moment to review the > archives > at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l. > Bradley V.
