I like Scott's little summary. Although a plug as to where to buy this book being http://store.midrange.com (sponsors of this list) would be nice. COMMON does a pretty good job and they have some nice tracks. And many of the authors mentioned are the RPG instructors. http://www.common.org And IBM discourages training at: http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/ Click on the education link there. I defy you to find iSeries in the hardware. Or to find RPG under software. But if you go to the iSeries Nation site, navigate over a few busted links, you will find some iSeries and RPG education at: http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/enable/education/i/ Rob Berendt -- Group Dekko Services, LLC Dept 01.073 PO Box 2000 Dock 108 6928N 400E Kendallville, IN 46755 http://www.dekko.com Scott Klement <rpg400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent by: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx 08/26/2004 03:23 PM Please respond to RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries <rpg400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries <rpg400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> cc Fax to Subject Re: Best RPG Book Hi, > I have limited resoures and would like to know if anyone has a preference > of book(s) on RPG that thoroughly cover RPG. > > >From Embeded SQL to Procedures to Free RPG to Service Programs. > > I do not want to start a war so please send this off-list to me. I don't really think this is the type of topic that will start a war. Though, on this list, who knows ;) I have some book recommendations at the following link: http://www.scottklement.com/rpg/howtolearn.html One of the best ways to get started updating your RPG knowledge is the RPG World conference.
