You can still use this approach in your downstream program. Instead of allocating
the storage and using the pointer on your MQGET, use the address of your array or
DS. This should give you access to the "raw" data that you can "parse" using the
C functions mentioned by Scott Klement.
BTW:
What data/information is available at the time your program will execute? Obviously
the array or DS, but do you have access to the "data length" value returned on the
MQGET? As this thread progresses, more information and inhibitors become available.
Perhaps if you identified what you have access too and what your constraints are,
we could provide additional insight/feedback.
