What is the difference between SQLSTT and SQLCOD? I have always used SQLCOD then if it is +-100 (don't remember which) then there is no results, if it is 0 everything is okay, if it is anything else, then there is a problem. I catch a lot of my oopsies this way. 2) Check the value of SQLSTT after the PREPARE FROM: C/EXEC SQL C+ PREPARE S1 FROM :sqlstatement C/END-EXEC if sqlstt <> '00000' // uh-oh... There is an example of dynamic SQL in the FAQ at http://faq.midrange.com Search for 'indirect' --buck _______________________________________________ This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list To post a message email: RPG400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/rpg400-l or email: RPG400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l.
