Joe, we currently use some web services both client and server side to "consume" services offered by our head office and "provide" our services to head office, with and without ssl. At client side we use RPG with a service program to post http requests, derived from Scott Klement httpapi that is excellent !! SOAP messages are built by RPG using a skeleton from WSDL that you can get for example here: http://soapclient.com/SoapMsg.html At server side we have old applications written in CGI-RPG and a couple of new ones written using WSAS + RPG (using ProgramCall and Jdbc). For parsing in the past we used Aaron's srvpgm. Now we directly use the ibm srvpgm parser QXML4PR500. The Scott Klement httpapi is powerful to "consume" web services offered using standard SOAP protocol, including SSL and you can try from http://services.xmethods.net , http://www.financialwebservices.ltd.uk , or GET webservices at http://finance.yahoo.com Giuseppe.
