Gina, First, I want to thank you for taking the time to read this list. I know it must be disheartening sometimes, and I detect a note of understandable frustration in your reply. Why do you consider these "just" complaints about the pre-compiler and not "real SQL problems"? If it is difficult or frustrating for us, the end users, to utilize the product then our issues are most certainly real. We are not complaining just to complain, we are doing what little we can to influence the direction of our life's blood: RPG. For those of us using embedded SQL, it is obviously very important to us what you do. I know that I for one have been very vocal about these issues surrounding the pre-compiler, so please believe that I appreciate you are trying to make it a better product, and quite frankly I'm a little in awe because I doubt I could do the work. In other words, take the criticisms with a grain of salt: in the end we all want the same thing: a better RPG language. Sincerely, Joel Cochran http://www.rpgnext.com
