Why didn't you get software subscription when it first came out?  They 
were cutting some good deals then.

Perhaps if you wrapped this up in a lease it would be easier to swallow.

Or is, perhaps, in our position of not having software subscription on the
production system and is unwilling to spend eighty plus thousand to 
upgrade
to a more current release. 

I imagine there are many companies out there that did not see the value in
software subscription because their shops are still using RPGIII and will
continue to do so.  They also probably figure the incremental improvements
in other features are not worth the money.  After all, their systems work
fine in support of their company's operations, so why spend the money,
especially if it shaves 100 thousand off an operating profit of 200
thousand.
