Thanks everybody...The wrong thing i did was, the Order of writing the Display records.. Now it works with just WINDOW(REFWIN) & OVERLAY keywords on the Subfile file control record format. The Subfile control window refers to a separate WINDOW Rec.Format. The order would be as follows. c Write REFWIN c Exfmt SFC1 Thanks. This may already been suggested. Create your regular window with your function keys listed at the bottom. In your SFLCTL record, reference the window created with the WINDOW keyword. Then in your program EXFMT SFLCTL01 For example: R SFL01 SFL FLD01 FLD02 FLD03 R SFLCTL01 SFLCTL(SFL01) WINDOW(KEYS01) R KEYS01 0018.10 WINDOW(4 3 13 72) 0018.20 CF03(03 'EXIT') 0018.40 WDWBORDER((*COLOR BLU) (*DSPATR RI)- 0018.50 (*CHAR ' ')) 0018.60 USRRSTDSP 12 2'F3=Exit' Give this a try. Your mileage will vary.
