Well, it can as long as you specify *NOMSGLIN.  That looks like this:
WINDOW(4 15 18 34 *NOMSGLIN)

You do have another record format, too? The format that doesn't really do

Hi guys.. I am trying to display a footer record in a window. To be more
precise, In a window record format, i have a subfile. Beneath the subfile, I
need to display the "F3=Exit" Kind of stuff....I tried with overlay + keep+
assume...Did not work...Any clues?
