Scott, So you were saying that I only needed to include the copyright notice in the code. Perhaps just posting the URL is in order: http://ftp.sergei.cc/pub/ircII/ircii-current/ircii/source/strsep.c Again, the copyright act of 1989 does not require you to include the copyright notice in every copy of a copyrighted work. Previously it was required and if it did not appear, people could claim there was no notice of copyright, but today that is simply not the case and copyright is implied. And thanks for pointing out the authors, I had forgotten where the original source came from but new it was redistributable. Bob
