Gosh, does this mean now that all my code that I've copyrighted and people have had on their machines for years, and people have forgotten where they got it from but post it here has to be removed? Actually, the code I posted was/is not from that group but perhaps the name is the same. Since this is a non-for profit list service and the code is posted on the Internet, I don't believe copyright laws were/are in violation. Of course that depends on whether the code was created after the Sunny Bono Copyright Act of... what was it 1989? If it was then the copyright notice does not need to be included. Posting it here, or otherwise distributing without it's accompanying copyright statment, list of conditions and disclaimer is against the law. I sent a message to David recommending that it be removed from the archives. Instead, those of you who want that code can get it (legally) here: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/src/lib/libc/string/strsep.c Just make sure you keep the license at the top intact, and it's perfectly okay to distribute it and use it. Just don't remove the license!! _______________________________________________ This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list To post a message email: RPG400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/rpg400-l or email: RPG400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l.
