Basically you have to close the print file for it to print. Either put the
print logic in another proc/pgm that does an implicit file open/close. Or
explicitly open and close your printer file with the USROPN keyword.

Thanks,

I have a program which uses a function key to generate a report based on
some selection criteria but the report won't print until I exit the
program.

Is there a way to 'force' the spool file to close and print without
exiting

Thanks
