Bob, What about using the FEOD opcode and on the OVRPRTF make sure that availability is *IMMED. This avoids having potentially thousands for "FIN" spool entries attached to the job. It also avoids the prossibility (especially pre-V5R2) that the job will bomb on the 10,000th spool file open. -mark > Of course... the CLOSE opcode will do that.
