Bob,

 What about using the FEOD opcode and on the OVRPRTF make sure that
availability is *IMMED.  This avoids having potentially thousands for "FIN"
spool entries attached to the job.  It also avoids the prossibility
(especially pre-V5R2) that the job will bomb on the 10,000th spool file
open.

I have a program which uses a function key to generate a report based on 
some selection criteria but the report won't print until I exit the 
program.

Is there a way to 'force' the spool file to close and print without 
exiting
