There have been several recent posts urging the use of CODE/400 for developers beginning their foray into the world of alternate development tools for the iSeries. I may regret asking but I have a question. Let me start by saying I have nothing against CODE. I only recently had the opportunity to use it and I have no complaints although I prefer to use the LPEX editor in WDSc 5.0. The designer is taking a little longer however. My question is this; why the push towards CODE when IBM has stated that it will be replaced by the LPEX editor in WDSc? Am I misunderstanding IBM's intent? It seems to me resources would be better spent on learning the tools that will replace CODE rather than learning something with a limited life span. Rick
