Buck made my point exactly. I have the advantage of having a very advanced workstation and still had to install another 512mb of ram to give WDSc enough breathing room to work. And I still experience lockups and really funny behavior. I really like the concentrated work environment that Eclipse brings and I'm getting used to the jlpex editor, but, until the major bugs are worked out of this thing, I'll be forced to do my editing in Code. I don't think there's a push toward Code, but Lpex isn't 'there' yet. Also, there are a handful of developers who are using older PCs because they're perfectly adequate (or were, anyway!) for the work that we do. At a thousand dollars a pop, it is unrealistic to expect companies to replace PCs en masse during a slump in the economy. Although, I might weasel another 128 megs of RAM... --buck _______________________________________________ This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list To post a message email: RPG400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/rpg400-l or email: RPG400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l.
