I'm sorry if I came across as arrogant. I was trying to be as gentle as possible, while still making my point. I felt it would be helpful to explain why I felt the way that I do. It isn't always easy to phrase a message in a way that will both explain the problem, and still come across as friendly and helpful. Maybe if I were one of the "brilliant people" you refer to, I would be able to do that, but alas I'm just a normal flawed human being.
