What happened to the request to make the compiler un-bound from the
version of OS/400?
I don't see that in the survey.
Is that something that is being worked on and will just happen at some
future point, hence no voting required?

I sure hope so. The fact that I have to install V5R1 to use EXTFILE and
EXTMBR is something I would have preferred not to do. Let's hope that by
the time there's a OS/400 V6 that the compiler enhancements will work on
V6R1 and later releases of OS/400 and not require the installation of
each new operating system release. In fact, I'd work on that for the
V5R3+1 release.
