RE: It's That Time Again! The 2002 RPG Enhancement Poll

Hello George!  Great to see another poll.  I made the following comment in
MIDRANGE-L, however, and wondered what you think:

Hans, do you really think that some of these enhancements are truly eighty
dollar enhancements, based on the amount of work?  Believe me, I'm in no way
saying what it should be - we've established that I'm no compiler guru, and
I absolutely defer to your expertise in this.  I'm just wondering if it's
really, say, twice as hard to do procedure overloading as it is SPECIAL file
support?

Because with $80 options, I'm stuck with one real selection and then one or
two little ones.  In my case, I'd like the EVALC keyword.  Combined with
procedure overloads, and I'm done with my ballot.  I'm wondering if you
might not want to either lower the cost of items or give us a slightly
bigger budget in order to allow a little more flexibility?  I understand
limiting choices to get people to pick what they really want, but limiting
us to just two or three enhancements seems a bit drastic.

As you can see George, I'm having some budgetary problems <grin>.  There are
a bunch of cool options on the list, but the budget is awfully constraining.
What do you think?
