>>Do you need all the ile programs (or ile modules/is it compulsory that >>all modules to be in this directory)to be created under Binding directory? No, only the modules you want to bind(attach) to other modules need to be in the binding directory. For instance, I have two sub procedures, F.PRCECALC(calculates price), F.INVCALC(calculates inventory qty). I add these to my binding directory. Now I create a main module 'AAA' that will make calls to these sub procedures. In the H specs I specify H BNDDIR('RTEKTEST/CGIBNDDIR'). This tells the compiler to look in CGIBNDDIR for the source of F.PRCECALC and F.INVCALC. Then it takes the three modules and binds them together creating one program. >>Is there any similar concept(like Binding Directory) in developing >>OPM programs? I don't know this one. -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-admin@midrange.com [mailto:rpg400-l-admin@midrange.com] On Behalf Of MURALI DHAR Sent: Thursday, August 15, 2002 12:16 PM To: rpg400-l@midrange.com Subject: About Binding Directory I would like to know abt Binding directory.....Binding directory is a collection of service programs and other modules....Do you need all the ile programs (or ile modules/is it compulsory that all modules to be in this directory)to be created under Binding directory? what's exactly happening in Binding Directory?
