Binding directories just alleviate having to key in all of the modules and service programs that make up a program. I have binding directories that relate to like functions. I have one called UTILITY that contains service programs for string handling and date conversion and stuff like that. Then when I want to use one or more of the procedures, I just include the binding directory. Binding directories can sort of be likened to the DOS path environment variable (sort of).
