Hi Mike, What I'm actually looking for is a tool that will allow me to view the default parameters for any command at any time, without actually running or prompting the command. Adding an exit program, executing the command, removing the exit program and interrogating a file does sound a bit overkill. Thanks anyway. Then, remove the exit program. I haven't actually used the programs myself yet, but there is an excellent article on their use in iSeries news May 2001.
