Hi Peter What I was thinking was that you could attach the exit program to the command(s) you wish to retrieve defaults for, execute the commands once to capture the defaults, store in a file, then interrogate the file afterwards. Then, remove the exit program. I haven't actually used the programs myself yet, but there is an excellent article on their use in iSeries news May 2001. Can this program do that? As I understand it, this exit program gets called each time the command is executed. Or am I wrong? Thanks.
